Blowout – Part III

Blowout – Part III

I spent Christmas Eve, Christmas and the weekend at Staybridge Suites just about 8 miles away. Nice room with a full kitchen that was stocked with dishware and pots and pans. so it seems to be set up for people using it as an apartment if necessary. So I loaded in my suitcase, my groceries, my litter box, my cat food, my two cats, my computer, my jackets, did I forget anything??!!πŸ˜› Good grief. Gumble is so easy to transfer…

BlowOut Part II

BlowOut Part II

The Three Musketeers To continue….After I had pulled onto the spur road, and Rosie and Jason left, I started making phone calls to the RV dealership I wanted it towed to. I also made contact with the tow truck company and the driver…Quintin. We ended up phoning each other quite a bit as to where I was and where the RV was going and the condition of the RV so he knew what kind of vehicle to bring to tow…

Meeting a Texas Sheriff !!

Meeting a Texas Sheriff !!

Well today (Dec. 21 ) held some surprises for me! So I’m going to tell you about one of them right away! πŸ€— Today was moving day. So after dumping my tanks, I was on the road by 9:45 a.m. . I had 265 miles to drive to Palmetto State Park. It is 65 miles east of San Antonio, Texas. The state highways down to Houston were pretty good and then I took a relatively newly constructed bypass around the…

Texas- Undulating Hills & Rain

It had been raining off and on overnight but I was fortunate enough to have a 1 hour window…

It is another man-made lake. The state park is in the shadow of the causeway and the dam. My site is just wonderful. I really like it here! As you can see I have a view right down the bay to…

Crater of Diamond State Park

Crater of Diamond State Park

Crater of Diamond State Park, Murfreesboro, Arkansas Let the search begin!! I drove up here from Lake Bistineau State Park today through much appreciated sun! It was SO good to have sun again after 3 days of rain off & on and clouds.  A 3 hour drive, but real good roads for a change! So, this park is the site of a former massive volcano that brought up diamonds from the deep. The first diamond was found in 1906 here….
