Last Campground Before Home in Waupacaπ
Almost Home !
So I had one more stop to make, in the Chilton, Wisconsin area. I came this way, because there was a special camping site awaiting me. π
This site has a beautiful view of a marsh and a yard that has a magnolia tree in full blossom. It also offers three dogs, three baby pet rats, two rabbits, two gerbils, and two goldfish!! You are never without receiving attention from a dog or having the opportunity to give attention to any one of the pets!! π
I had free electricity and water. I could also go into the inside facility for warm meals, games, pleasant interactions with others and lots of good conversation!
And on top of all of that, I had a kind mechanic who fixed three to four things for me in no time at no charge!!! ππ
If you haven’t guessed by now, of course I stopped at my youngest son Nathan and Cheryl’s’ home! Cozy, large home in the country. In addition to that perk, you can’t beat my grand girls getting off the bus and running with open arms to meet Grandma!! Good hugs all around! π.
Thank goodness we were blessed in with beautiful weather for the weekend. Grandpa came for one of the days and we went exploring to the Calumet County park, and Leclaire’s goat farm. Wonderful farm and wonderful goat cheese! And we all got to pet a couple baby goats! π€ If they aren’t the sweetest things!!
Next time I’m over here, we’re going to look for the 6000 goat dairy farm.π
So, now everyone is back to work and school, I’m cleaning up the RV and getting ready again for about an hour to an hour and a half drive over to Waupaca. Another windy day which is going to put my mileage in the gutter. On the way up through Illinois and Wisconsin, I was averaging between 7 .5 to 8.5 miles per gallon against the wind, which is awful. πΈπΈπ².
Hopefully, the trip will go well, and the setup will be routine. Then I will be staying put until a short trip to a state park in June. Wow! It’ll be interesting to see what it feels like to remain in one place again!! π€
Talk to you soon. Stay warm through this crazy Wisconsin weather!!
