I got my covid-19 vaccine today! Never was I so excited in my life to get a shot! ( March 30th)

I have had a hard time finding anyone who even HAD doses available in Texas. Whenever I went online to check places, it was a five day wait. Since I’m on the move, I was trying to look at places ahead on my route, but it never changed.

Now I am in Arkansas at Lake Catherine’s State Park, near Hot Springs, Arkansas. I went online to check out covid vaccination sites in Arkansas. What came up was a map of Arkansas and teardrops pinpointing every facility in the state that gave out doses. I looked ahead to April 1st, which would be when I would be in the Little Rock, Arkansas area. I thought I would have to look ahead, because same day doses would be practically impossible.

I picked a place outside of Little Rock that happened to be a private pharmacy that had been in operation for 30 years. It had good reviews. I called it and got a recorded message that said they were taking appointments for March 31st and April 1st!!! Wow!! Not only did they have doses available, they actually had appointments available!!

I gave them a call and talked to the pharmacist. Unfortunately the time slots for March 31st and April 1st were already filled. However she then added, ” wait a minute”, spoke with staff and came back and said the magic words!!
“WE HAVE AN EXTRA DOSE AVAILABLE TODAY.” 💃⚡ I couldn’t believe it! 😃⭐it was good until 4:00 p.m. and I was calling around 1:00 p.m. . So I put my name on it!!
It was an hour drive from my location. Traffic, construction on Highway 30 but so worth it!! It was just a wonderful place!! And the pharmacist was really sweet.

I am now working with my doctor’s office for the second dose. It sounds like they’re going to be able to arrange this. 🤞
