I have spent the day walking around the campsites and taking photos of all the decorations and activities. The campers that come here really go all out. Neither Hurricane Zeta nor any of its storms reached the Chicot State Park area. 😬👏 We had a little rain the first day but the second day was sunny and clear. The cold front that came through was wonderful. It took the humidity out of the air and the temperatures were in the 50s and 60s! After taking care of a load of laundry and a glorious shower in the park facilities, I was on the road again. Before leaving I spoke with the host Tammy, and another lady who was also deciding whether to stay or move. The big danger from the hurricane winds would be tree branches, wind- blown objects, or the trees actually blowing over. In the past they have taken shelter in the cinder block facilities but that doesn’t save your RV….
