Hello everyone,
As you know I was headed to Grand isle, Louisiana and I have been here for the last week. I have lots of little experiences and observations to share 😊
But right now, the big one is the weather! Either a tropical storm or a hurricane will be hitting the gulf Shore by Wednesday. I just called the park ranger for information and the bottom line will be to start pulling out tomorrow, Tuesday, morning. They are having a meeting around noon today to decide on the information they have as to when to close down the park and order evacuations. She said this will be the 6th time this summer they have done this!!
Because of the rain, wind and storm surge the roads get covered here and of course water probably floods the campground area as well. I have no desire to be in close proximity to a tropical storm let alone a hurricane 🤪🤣
So the plan is to pull out tomorrow morning and they suggested heading north to the Walmart that’s about an hour away. Then from there people usually make the decision on how much farther north they’ll need to go. She suggested the city Houma, Louisiana, so I will look into that. Stay tuned!
